What past clients say
I had very specific questions, but Allen was the first person who could answer my questions directly, clearly, and confidently. Furthermore, I was not tossed around between multiple people or assistants.
We worked with Allen Hong, he was very informative throughout the process. We had limited time to find/purchase the house due to our lease ending, Mr. Hong and his team came through and took care of us. The process was painless, he kept us up to date and responded to all our questions quickly. Everyone was friendly and made sure we understood what was going on.
I recently refinanced my home with the help and assistance of mortgage broker Allen Hong. He made the entire process from start to finish smooth and non-stressful... He communicated throughout the entire process, was prompt and informative, and gave me realistic expectations. Before I make another new home purchase or refinance in the future, I plan to request his professional advice prior to making a decision.
Reviews are from past clients of Allen Hong. Some are from his work at Clarke Capital LLC, which does business as Flex Path Funding, and some are from previous companies. Individual experiences vary. Not all reviews are recent.
Questions, in plain English
What is non-QM?
Non-QM is a secondary label for mortgages that do not follow the usual qualified-mortgage rules. In plain English, it is a group of options for income or property that does not fit a typical tax-return file. Bank statement, rental-income, asset, and some home equity files are often described this way. Availability varies by lender, property, and borrower.
Why would a bank say no to a self-employed borrower?
A bank often looks at taxable income. Business expenses can make that number smaller than the money the business brings in. A no from one bank is that lender's decision. It is not the only way a file can be reviewed.
What documents might I need?
It depends on the option. Bank statements, identification, proof of business ownership, housing history, and reserves are common when income is shown with deposits. A rental file often needs a lease or a rent estimate and property details. You get a checklist for your situation before any application.
Do you also do conventional, FHA, and VA?
Yes. Those loans can be part of the conversation when they fit. The site leads with options for self-employed borrowers and rental investors.
Which states are you licensed in?
Licensed in Arizona, Texas, and California.
